Organized by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), UN partners met today to celebrate the launch of the UN SDG: Learn, which is an online knowledge platform for stakeholders to learn more about each of the sustainable development goal.
Having been devoting to delivering innovative training for all to increase the capacity of global community in responding to ever-changing international challenges, the UN SDG: Learn aims to optimize each individual’s learning experience through allowing the user to navigate a wide array of resources, from texts to videos, from quizzes to surveys. The UNITAR believed in the power of knowledge exchange, and stressed the importance of empowerment in accelerating the necessary steps needed for achieving the 2030 Agenda. The meeting also highlighted the potency of partnerships in creating or advancing training schemes that leave no one behind, of which the UN SDG: Learn is a perfect example illustrating such a direction of policy development. Without the collaboration of the UNITAR, the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the UN System Staff College, and many more UN entities as well as both public and private organizations, this creative and young people friendly platform would have never been successfully developed within a short period of time.
Amassing a total of 50 partners, the UNITAR looked forward to providing more joint-learning opportunities and professional guidance that would allow policymakers and all population groups to make informed decisions that align with the SDGs.
